How Season 3 Referral Tiers and Revenue Share Work

How Season 3 Referral Tiers and Revenue Share Work
Tria

Season 3 introduces a tiered referral system that rewards users for bringing active users into Tria.

The focus is not just on signups. A referral becomes meaningful when the user actually starts using Tria. That is why Season 3 referral tiers are based on active referrals.

Here, referrals means users who sign up using your own referral link.

The more active users someone brings into Tria, the higher their referral tier can become.

Referral activity can also help users earn Tria Points, which count toward Mystery Box thresholds in Season 3.

What counts as an active referral?

For Season 3, an active user means someone who has completed at least one of the following in the last 90 days:

  • at least $1 USD-equivalent card spend
  • at least $10K trading volume

This keeps the referral system focused on real users, not dormant accounts.

Referral tiers

Users move through referral tiers based on the number of active referrals they have. Here, referrals means users who sign up using your own referral link.

Bronze-23–9 active refs22%0.05%8%

Here is what each earning column means:

ColumnMeaning
Membership SalesPercentage of eligible Signature or Premium membership sales generated by your referral.
Card SpendPercentage of the card transaction amount from your referral's eligible card spend.
FuturesPercentage of Tria fees generated from your referral's futures trading.

A card being issued does not start card-spend commission by itself. Card-spend commission starts only after the referral makes their first card transaction with non-zero spend.

Futures commission does not have the same card-transaction gate and can start from the first eligible futures trade.

This creates a stronger referral model than a one-time invite reward. Users can continue earning when the people they bring into Tria continue using the product.

Example: referral earnings

Suppose a user is on Silver-1.

That means they have 10 to 19 active referrals and earn:

  • 25% on eligible Signature or Premium membership sales
  • 0.10% on card spend
  • 10% of Tria fees from futures trading

If one referral buys a Signature or Premium membership, makes a card transaction with non-zero spend, and trades futures, all three activities can contribute to the referrer's earnings according to the Silver-1 tier.

The more active the referral network becomes, the more valuable the tier becomes.

Claiming referral commissions

Referral commissions accrue automatically and are claimable in the Tria App.

To claim, users must be active themselves. This means the user claiming rewards must have at least $1 USD-equivalent card spend or at least $10K trading volume in the last 90 days.

If a user is not active yet, their accrued balance remains visible but the Claim button stays disabled. The balance does not expire and unlocks once the user becomes active.

The minimum claimable balance is $5 USDC.

Referral Points vs referral revenue share

Season 3 has two different referral benefits.

Referral BenefitWhat It Does
Referral Points bonusUsers earn 10% of base Points their referrals earn from eligible card spend and perps trading. One-time seasonal bonus Points are excluded.
Referral commissionsUsers earn from eligible card sales, card spend, and futures fees generated by their referrals.

The Points bonus can help users reach Mystery Box thresholds faster.

The revenue share creates a separate earning layer from referral activity.

Why Season 3 referrals are different

Season 3 referrals are designed around active referrals.

A signup alone is not enough. Users move up tiers by bringing in people who actually use Tria.

That makes the referral system more useful for everyone:

  • New users get a clearer reason to start using Tria.
  • Referrers can earn from ongoing product activity.
  • Active referrals become more valuable over time.
  • Higher referral tiers unlock better referral commission rates.

Season 3 referrals are not just about inviting people. They are about building an active Tria network.

FAQs

What makes a referral active?

A referral becomes active if, within the last 90 days, they have either at least $1 USD-equivalent card spend or at least $10K trading volume. A signup alone does not count.

If I refer A and A refers B, do I earn on B?

No. You earn only from users who sign up using your own referral link. If your referral invites someone else, that second-level user does not count toward your referral earnings.

My referral got their card. Why am I not earning card-spend commission yet?

Card-spend commission starts only after your referral makes their first card transaction with non-zero spend. Card issuance alone does not pay card-spend commission. Futures commission does not have the same card-transaction gate and can start from the first eligible futures trade.

Why is my Claim button disabled?

User-side claims require the claimant to be active. If you are not active yet, your accrued balance remains visible but cannot be claimed until you meet the active-user requirement.

Do I lose my referral balance if I am inactive?

No. Your balance is held indefinitely with no expiry or clawback. It unlocks once you become active.

What is the minimum amount I can claim?

The minimum claimable balance is $5 USDC.

When are referral commissions distributed?

Card-sales and futures commissions are distributed every Tuesday for the prior week's accrual. Card-spend commissions are distributed monthly on the last Tuesday of each month for the previous calendar month's accrual.

Do referral Points count toward Mystery Boxes?

Yes. Eligible referral Points count toward Tria Points and can help users reach Mystery Box thresholds faster. One-time seasonal bonus Points, such as first-card-transaction bonuses, cumulative trading bonuses, and membership bonuses, are excluded from referral bonus calculations.

Do referral Points get spent when I unlock a Mystery Box?

No. Points are not spent or debited. Once you cross a Mystery Box threshold, you earn that box. Boxes become openable at the next monthly opening.
